A digital notebook that feels like paper
Handwriting helps you remember: writing a lesson in your own words forces you to process it, instead of copying it word for word. The trouble with paper notebooks is everything that comes after: they get lost, they can't be searched, and you can't bring them to every class.
This free online notebook keeps the feel of writing by hand and removes those problems. The ink follows your pen with very low latency, the line reacts to pressure, and you can rest your hand on the screen like on real paper.
Made for Apple Pencil and styluses
On iPad, open this page in Safari or Chrome and write with Apple Pencil: no app to download. Palm rejection keeps your hand from leaving marks. Active styluses on Android tablets and Windows touch screens work the same way, and on a computer you can use the mouse or a graphics tablet.
Lined, grid, dotted and blank pages are built in, plus templates such as Cornell notes, so the page fits what you are writing: lecture notes, maths, diagrams or a quick revision plan.
From handwritten notes to revision
The pages you write here stay in your browser. With a free Noto Studio account, the same paper editor saves your pages in notebooks and syncs them across your devices, next to your typed notes, flashcards and calendar. You can also ask Noto AI questions about any page, for example to explain a part of the lesson or check what you wrote.
